The very thought of owning a supercar means a compromise in practicality. Supercars are very impractical, usually only seating two and having a tiny boot that can barely hold groceries. More so, they usually have little to no ground clearance, all in an effort to increase performance. With all of these compromises, you get a vehicle that can go from 0-60 mph in the blink of an eye, but can barely handle a pothole, let alone an off-road course. Or so we thought.
Ford has decided to defy the laws of supercar impracticality by teasing an off-road supercar. This would mean that you necessarily don’t have to buy two cars if you’re passionate about both track racing and off-roading. With a supercar offroader, one could have the best of both worlds in one car and this is absolutely amazing.
What Would a Supercar Offroader from Ford Look Like?

Well, Ford already has a supercar in the form of the Ford GT40 that evolved from the original LeMan winning GT40, nicknamed the Ferrari Beater. Ford also happens to have a very capable offroader in the form of the Ford Raptor T1+ race truck that bagged a third place finish in the 2025 Dakar Rally. Hence, I think a Ford supercar offroader should be the offspring of a Ford GT40 and a Ford Raptor T1+.

Au contraire, some folks at MotorTrend, believe that the supercar offroader will come under the Mustang platform. It could simply be a modified Mustang sports car with off road suspension and tires. However, Ford debunks all of these theories, as they claim that the vehicle would be built from the ground up rather than being a modified version of an existing model. Jim Farley, CEO of the Ford Motor Company, had this to say, ‘We’re in the middle of creating something, so we don’t have all the answers yet, but the question is should Ford make an off-road supercar? Not a version of a car, a standalone supercar,’.
Personally, I look forward to what Ford has to bring to the table after such a mouthwatering teaser. But until then, what are your thoughts on the Ford supercar offroader? And what do you think it would look like?
