Maiora’s newest 121-foot superyacht, the 36 Exuma, is redefining space and design in what is considered the mid-size luxury category. Unveiled at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, this $23.5 million vessel blends performance and innovation with an emphasis on open, liveable space rarely seen in yachts under 300 gross tonnes.
Developed by Quartostile Design and built by the Next Yacht Group, the 36 Exuma uses every inch of its full-beam bow and superstructure to ensure onboard comfort. The yacht spans four decks and can accommodate up to 12 guests, featuring an owner’s suite on the main deck and a second primary suite, a VIP, and two guest cabins below. The interiors by Acube Design looks more like a floating penthouse than a yacht, with natural tones, fine wood, marble, and leather for a clean, modern feel.

The yacht’s standout feature is its retractable “infinity door”, a sliding glass partition in the main salon that connects the bow and stern in one continuous visual line—opening up to nearly 1,300 square feet of seamless indoor-outdoor living space.

A fold-out beach club at the stern expands the waterside area, while the upper “nest” deck offers an intimate spot for alfresco lounging. The foredeck includes a pool and sun lounge, emphasising the yacht’s focus on social flow and open-air enjoyment.

But it’s not just about lounging, the 36 Exuma can move. Beneath all that polish, it’s built for speed and shallow-water exploration. Weighing only 180 tonnes, it’s powered by three waterjets driven by 2,000 hp MAN V-12 engines, reaching a top speed of 33 knots (38 mph / 61 km/h) and cruising comfortably at 20 knots (23 mph / 37 km/h). Its draught being just under five feet makes it ideal for navigating shallow destinations such as the Bahamas and Exuma islands.
“The 36 Exuma fully embodies our vision of yachting as a blend of luxury, comfort, and innovation,” said Giorgio Mattei, Next Yacht Group’s deputy chairman. “It reflects design excellence recognised worldwide.”
Despite its size, the Maiora makes you stop and stare. Moreover, with its lightweight performance, flowing architecture, and signature infinity door, the Maiora 36 Exuma stands as a fresh statement of modern Italian yacht design.
Proof that true spaciousness is about more than just size.
