One of the most talked-about luxury yachts on the water—the 143-foot Tecnomar named ‘This Is It’—is now for sale at about €46 million (roughly $54 million), giving buyers a chance to own a bold superyacht that has sparked debate since its 2023 launch. Swim with us.
Launched by Italian Sea Group’s Tecnomar brand at the Monaco Yacht Show, This Is It impressed critics and buyers alike with its striking asymmetrical profile and innovative use of space. Its sculptural aluminium body and sweeping curved lines break sharply from conventional yacht aesthetics, making it one of the standout catamarans in recent memory.
The yacht’s naval architecture was designed by British firm Lateral Naval Architects, with twin aluminium hulls shaped for better hydrodynamic performance and improved fuel efficiency. With a beam just under 48 feet and 758 gross tonnes of volume, the vessel boasts nearly 6,500 square feet of full-height glazing that floods the interior with light.

Inside, the layout rejects traditional cabins separated by walls in favour of an open plan defined by form and flow. Leather and Alcantara complement metallic accents throughout, and extensive skylights enhance natural brightness. The main salon, formal dining area, and starboard seating nook merge seamlessly, while an upper deck houses both a spa and a children’s playroom that converts into extra guest accommodation when needed.
Owners and guests can spread out across six cabins accommodating up to 12 guests, while quarters for a 12-person crew support extended voyages. The owner’s suite spans two decks, featuring a skylight-topped bedroom, en suite, panoramic terrace, and even a two-story vertical garden.
Exterior decks are similarly ambitious. Multiple lounges, bars, and dining areas create varied spaces for relaxation. An asymmetrical aft deck stands out with a large sun pad, a generously sized dining table, an angular swimming pool, and dual swim platforms.

Additionally, in the broader luxury yachting world, interests continue shifting toward bold designs and bespoke builds—a trend underscored by the purchase of superyacht name like the ‘Breakthrough’, the hydrogen-powered superyacht originally built for tech billionaire Bill Gates. That vessel later drew wide attention when former NHL goaltender-turned billionaire Patrick Dovigi completed its purchase, joining a small group of ultra-wealthy owners at the apex of super yacht ownership.
‘This Is It’ now enters a market hungry for standout, high-design yachts—with a blend of cutting-edge aesthetics and usable luxury space, offering a compelling option for buyers seeking a statement piece at sea.
