Rolls-Royce has marked the 100th anniversary of its flagship Phantom with an ultra-limited Centenary Private Collection, priced at $3 million each. Just 25 identical units will be built, and every single one is already sold.
Based on the Phantom VIII Extended Wheelbase, the Centenary celebrates a century of craftsmanship with what the luxury brand calls its ‘most technically complex bespoke model to date’.

Created over three years and with 40,000 hours of meticulous handwork, the Centenary combines understated exterior styling with an interior that makes it a cruising museum of Rolls-Royce history. Every car tells a visual story of the Phantom’s past, from co-founder Sir Henry Royce’s travels to the brand’s earliest showrooms and prototypes.

Inside, the rear-seat tapestry stands out as the car’s centrepiece. Using 77 hand-drawn sketches and over 160,000 stitches, it weaves together scenes and symbols from Phantom’s century-long journey—including maps embroidered with 24-karat gold threads that trace Sir Henry’s favourite roads in southern France. Subtle motifs like Roger the Rabbit (a nod to the Phantom VII’s codename) and a bee representing the 250,000 honeybees at Rolls-Royce’s Goodwood home add playful detail.
Each of the four door panels, crafted from stained Blackwood veneer, depicts key landmarks in the brand’s story. The rear doors show the French Riviera coast near Sir Henry’s winter home, while the passenger and driver doors honour his English residence and the first Goodwood Phantom’s 4,500-mile trek across Australia—the routes inlaid with strips of pure gold.
Up front, the “Anthology Gallery” replaces a traditional dashboard insert with 50 brushed-aluminium fins etched with quotes from a century of Phantom reviews. Above it, the Starlight Headliner features 440,000 stitches forming the silhouette of the mulberry tree where Sir Henry once hosted meetings.

Under the hood, the familiar 6.75-litre V12 sits beneath an Arctic White engine cover detailed in 24-karat gold. The exterior, finished in a black-and-white scheme inspired by the golden age of Hollywood, shimmers with a paint called “Super Champagne Crystal”, infused with crushed glass.

Capping it all, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine—cast from the original 1925 Phantom I—is sculpted from 18-karat gold and coated in 24-karat gold for protection.

The Phantom Centenary isn’t just a collector’s car. It’s road-ready luxury, built with precision to capture a century of Rolls-Royce excellence in form and detail. For the 25 owners, ownership goes beyond possessing wealth; it’s proof of a lifelong bond with a brand that has defined luxury for 100 years and counting.
