The influx of luxury cars into Nigeria has been utterly mind boggling. These cars landing on Nigerian shores are worth millions and sometimes, even billions of naira. It’s safe to say that some Nigerians are spending the monthly budget of a state on a single car. However, with the increase in car theft cases, skeptics might say that these cars are stolen. For example, Crank of 234Drive covered the news of the 21 stolen high end vehicles that were intercepted at the port by the Nigerian customs. Irrespective of these numerous car theft cases, a good number of cars landing on Nigerian soil are legit, just like the ones in today’s news.
Davido’s New Baby
Firstly, we have the Rolce Royce Spectre which was recently purchased by award winning Nigerian singer, Davido. The 2025 Rolls Royce Spectre probably served as a birthday gift to himself, as he celebrated his birthday on the 21st of November. The Rolce Royce Spectre is the first fully electric vehicle from Rolce Royce. Just like it’s name, the ‘Spectre’ is a spectacle to behold. The Spectre is powered by two electric motors which produce a whopping 577 horsepower that launches it from 0 – 60mph in 4.2 seconds. That is pretty quick for a car that is more focused on luxury than performance.
As for the interior, the Spectre is adorned with LED lights, properly bred leather and a sleek wooden finish. Rolce Royce never slacks when it comes to luxury and the Spectre is no exception. The price of the 2025 Rolls-Royce Spectre starts at about 423,000 USD (710 million naira) for its base model. However, the Spectre can be customized to fit the buyer’s taste, but personalisation would cost a few more millions. The Rolce Royce Spectre comes in 29 different colours and from video evidence, Davido’s happens to come in the Arctic White colour. Davido seems to be a fan of white cars, because he also purchased a white Bentley Bentayga back in 2018.
Don Jazzy’s 3 ‘Mus-car-teers’
Another award-winning Nigerian musician, Don Jazzy, also recently purchased some luxury cars which have been making waves on the internet. The music exec decided to spoil himself with not one or two, but three 2024 models of luxury vehicles. These vehicles include the 2024 Rolls Royce Phantom Mansory, 2024 Range Rover Autobiography LWB and 2024 Cadillac Escalade Luxury. It is quite obvious that Don Jazzy has good taste in cars, however, these vehicles are all geared towards comfort rather than performance. They are the type that you recline in while being chauffeured around town.
The 2024 Rolce Royce Phantom Mansory is the most expensive of Don Jazzy’s collection, with a price tag of about 500,000 USD (840 million naira) for a stock version. But Don Jazzy’s Phantom is far from being stock, as it has gotten the Mansory treatment. Mansory is a tuner company that upgrades high end luxury cars, making them even more luxurious, with some little engine tweaks to make them more powerful. Don Jazzy’s Mansory Phantom comes in white with beautiful fully forged aluminium wheels.
National Budget on Cars?
The second most expensive car would be the 2024 Range Rover Autobiography LWB which has a price tag of about 170,000 USD (280 million naira) and in third place, the 2024 Cadillac Escalade Luxury priced at about 100,000 USD (170,000 million naira). These two SUVS–the British Range Rover and the all American Escalade–are both luxury homes to float around the streets of Nigeria. The combined net worth of Don Jazzy’s three new vehicles comes to approximately 770,000 USD (1.3 billion naira). How much is the national budget again?
