It is no longer a rumor; Hyundai has officially announced that it will release its first three-row electric SUV later this year. However, what remains a rumor is the name it will be called. Whispers of names like the Ioniq 7 and Ioniq 9 have been coming around.

This car in some way might be the equivalent of Kia’s EV9 and an electric alternative to the Hyundai Palisade. Earlier this year, there were clips of Hyundai testing the car in the US, California precisely.

Hyundai hasn’t explicitly stated anything about the car other than when it’s expected to be released. We are positive that it will be based on the same E-GMP platform that’s the foundation for the company’s other electric models as well as competition, such as the Kia EV9.

It wouldn’t be surprising also to see it feature a similar powertrain and battery as the Kia EV9. Hyundai has teased about this design from as far back as 2021 when they released the concept Ioniq 7 in Los Angeles.

Recently, Hyundai’s concept cars have also maintained most of their features after being released for production. We expect that this new production will maintain pixel lighting and the flush hood badge at the very least.
From its signature Parametric Pixel lights, to a revolutionary lounge-like cabin tastefully designed with swiveling chairs and curved bench seat. HyundaiUSA describes it as a bold reimagining of what transportation can be.
SEVEN is a boldly electrifying concept SUV unlike anything you’ve seen.
