What happens when a global smartphone giant decides to launch its device in partnership with 234Drive?

On 24 April 2026, the showroom of Polanco Exotic Cars, one of Nigeria’s most exclusive automotive dealerships, hosted the launch of Infinix’s latest flagship premium smartphone in Lagos. This partnership starts to make sense the moment you hear one name: Pininfarina.
Infinix partnered with the legendary Italian design house to shape its latest flagship device, the Infinix NOTE 60 Ultra. Pininfarina is synonymous with some of the most iconic machines ever built; the firm has been responsible for over 100 Ferrari designs, including legends like the Ferrari F40, Ferrari Testarossa, Ferrari 458 Italia, Ferrari California and the Ferrari Enzo. The mission was to create a smartphone that performs like a supercar, combining high performance, precision engineering and functional design.

That’s where 234Drive comes in.
As storytellers deeply rooted in automotive culture and mobility, we were tasked with translating that supercar DNA into something the audience could understand and feel. Our Head of Content, Crank, delivered a five-minute presentation breaking down what truly defines a supercar and how that same philosophy is now being applied to a smartphone.

The setting amplified the message. The launch featured some of the most desirable machines on the road today: two Ferrari Purosangue, a Ferrari F8 Spider and a Ferrari 488 Pista. This wasn’t accidental; placing the NOTE 60 Ultra in the same environment as the machines that inspired its design language sent a clear signal about the device’s ambitions. For the first time, a premium smartphone and the high-performance automotive industry were coming together to launch a single device.

The guest list reinforced the significance. The event drew industry players, top tech reviewers (like Izzi Boye and Valor Reviews) and celebrities including Elozonam, Saga Adeolu and Shine Rosman. Nnamdi Ezeigbo, CEO of Slot Systems Limited, one of Africa’s biggest gadget retailers, was also in attendance. Beyond the spectacle, the event was about establishing serious retail and commercial partnerships.

Infinix’s official unveiling of the NOTE 60 Ultra in Nigeria makes a statement. The move signals the brand’s entry into the premium segment, powered by collaborations that cut across design, technology and retail distribution.
For attendees, the experience went beyond seeing a new device. It was about witnessing something that doesn’t usually happen in Nigeria: a moment where smartphones are positioned not as tools, but as engineered products inspired by the philosophy that drives the world’s most exciting machines. For 234Drive, it marked a defining moment, bringing automotive storytelling into a completely new space.
